A family cooking together around a bright kitchen counter
Our story

Hi, we’re the family behind Under the Flatirons

I’m Liz, and this is the place where I keep the food that works in our house — the ordinary Tuesday dinners and the birthday projects worth repeating.

Every recipe gets cooked in a real kitchen in Boulder and eaten at a table where opinions arrive quickly.

The goal is useful food, honest notes, and no claim that every child will like every vegetable.

The seven-year-old

Likes crisp edges, noodles, and knowing exactly what is in the sauce.

The four-year-old

Will try most things once, especially if there is a tiny fork involved.

Me

Recipe developer, family logistics department, and believer in one-pan dinners.

The fine print

How this place pays for itself
